Joyce and Simenon
Interviewed by Didier Jacob Le Nouvel Observateur, the great writer Catalan Enrique Vila-Matas says:
- I'm writing a new book, Dr. Finnegan and Monsieur Hire, Joyce and Simenon. Finnegan and Hire is Jekyll and Hyde, are the two extremes equally radical literature. On hand, the language difficulty, Gaddis and Pynchon on the other, Hire, trade literature in the best sense. I do not know yet if this will be an essay or novel.
