Charles Alavoine murdered his mistress, the verdict is rendered. But in prison, and face his conscience, man sentenced address a long letter to his judge, the sole purpose of being understood by the latter. His childhood gray, two marriages dull, ubiquitous maternal and especially the whirlwind of passion provoked by the encounter with the woman he killed her. Charles methodically traces his career. To restore its truth, terribly human.

Taken scene by Johan Simons and masterfully played by actor Frank Focketyn - which was specially adapted in French - Letter to my judge resonates in the tense drama of Georges Simenon.

Goodbye, Mr. Chabrol! The

Claude Chabrol is more, and with him is a whole section of French cinema collapses. Director emblematic of the new wave, he has left his mark 50 years of cinema. Whatever types discussed, it is with delight that he castigated the bourgeoisie and hunted hypocrisy, backstabbing and stupidity. In this, he joined Georges Simenon which he signed two of best adaptations ever made of his novels, The Ghosts of hatter and Betty .

late July, during an interview, he announced the shooting of his 54 th film for next year: "It's a Simenon I wanted to run a long time: The Stairway Iron . Without doubt one of the darkest books by Simenon. I really wanted to do, but I was scared ... I thought people would commit suicide by coming out ... " Kernews, Breton Local Radio .
