report that artists in the exhibition " Reversal of Reality" have with the world today stems from the unique perspective focused on the ambiguity of the elements of our culture. Character around which an actual world which claims flatly of the "here and now", that is to say a visual and temporal simultaneity increasingly exacerbated, whose goal is to indistinctness between reality and fiction.
artistic proposals highlighted in the exhibition "Reverse of the Real" as elaborated elements reveal our blind trends in deciding to explore the boundaries of perception.
A selection of unique artistic universe is thus presented to the gallery Journiac Michel, now, the time of exposure, the receptacle of these experiments made from the real. The video sound installation through photography or printmaking contemporary works develop from a unique finding: the exuberance of the real. Face contamination architectural to visual pollution, allergies sound which we have been desensitized, or obstruction of the horizon of the landscape, the alternatives proposed by the artists can not be that radical.
Adopting an attitude of withdrawal Candida Höfer, Florence Chevallier, or Emmanuel Lagarrigue offer works nested in a parallel sphere, as if to threaten the reality and its referents from falling into the world of fiction and imagination reign. Their originality lies and their situation in a unique landscape, populated forms and elements in constant tension between the familiar and the unknown, the bright and dark, serenity and anxiety. These proposals and inaugurate a place that can look at a different time and geographical reality, a place reinvested by the policy.
Contradicting these universes, Cyprien Chabert Cyprien Gaillard or exhausting experience and images of architecture and nature invasive. Constitutes both a direct threat to their environment and themselves, these works define any production and ephemeral as a system, for its own degradation.
